Why did they need a website revamp?
Lavos has been a pioneer in sustainable activewear since 2010. Founded on two decades of textile innovation, the brand introduced India to bamboo-based fabrics that soft, breathable, and environmentally responsible. With their experience in fabric innovation, Lavos wasn’t just participating in the bamboo clothing industry; they were leading it.
Their old website didn’t show the brand’s expertise or innovation. It looked flat, loaded slowly, and lacked any real storytelling. Even moving through the website felt uncertain, which went against their promise to make things easy. The product pages didn’t offer enough detail; the sustainability benefits were hard to find, and it wasn’t clear what made Lavos different. Overall, the website didn’t communicate their years of experience, and the brand needed a modern, high-performing online presence.

We approached the redesign with a focus on performance, accessibility, and brand storytelling, creating an e-commerce platform that was fast, humane, and purpose-led.
The new Lavos identity was designed to mirror its core values and the brand’s message: simplicity, sustainability, and comfort. The palette drew from natural tones; typography was clean and confident; and the overall aesthetic was calm yet premium. The result was a minimal, human-first interface that embodied sustainability without excess.

We reimagined the user experience for clarity and momentum. Navigation was simplified to reduce decision fatigue and help users reach products faster. A minimal-click shopping flow allowed visitors to browse, learn, and purchase with ease. Micro-interactions made the experience lively without slowing it down. And the checkout process was simplified into a minimal-click flow with fewer steps, faster decisions, and a seamless transition from interest to purchase.

The homepage became an educational, image-rich introduction to Lavos’ philosophy and products. It showcased the story behind bamboo fabric, its environmental benefits, and featured authentic, real-world photography of the Lavos community. The design balanced storytelling with shopping ability, and each narrative block led naturally to collections and product discovery.

The product pages and catalogues on the website were designed to showcase a crystal-clear product hierarchy. Product pages were redesigned to be informative, interactive, and effortless. Every page highlighted detailed product specifications, fabric composition, benefits, and care instructions. Improved size selectors, richer color swatches, and comprehensive meta fields provide transparency.

Accessibility & Inclusivity
True to Lavos’ brand philosophy and values, the redesign emphasized authenticity and inclusivity. Photography featured people of all body types, promoting a brand experience that felt real and relatable. The interface was built to be responsive to all devices, and easily readable. This was to ensure that everyone could shop with comfort and confidence.
Technical Development — Custom-Built on Shopify
While we didn’t change Shopify as the platform, we used a brand new, fully customised template for Lavos’ e-commerce website. The website's new architecture is modular and optimized for performance. Each plugin was customised to enhance functionality and usability.
The website is now completely CMS-driven, making it effortless for the client to update, whether they’re adding new products, refining details, or publishing educational content.

SEO, CRM, and Analytics Integration
We strengthened the site’s visibility and lead-generation setup by putting core SEO and tracking foundations in place, including Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, and Robots.txt.
